La Secretaria de Educación Pública (SEP) señaló que permitirá a las personas trans y no binarias rectificar sus documentos escolares oficiales.
Este trámite será facilitado para aquellas personas que ya hayan actualizado su identidad legal ante el Registro Civil, particularmente en casos de cambio de identidad de género.
La Unidad de Actualización Normativa, Legalidad y Regulación de la SEP es la encargada de ofrecer este servicio. Así los documentos escolares emitidos por la SEP reflejarán correctamente el nombre y apellidos legales de las personas, garantizando su derecho a la identidad.
A partir de esta actualización la SEP espera evitar que actos de discriminación por temas de documentación se realicen en ámbitos laborales, educativos y sociales.

¿Qué necesito para rectificar los documentos de la SEP?
De acuerdo con el boletín informativo de la SEP, los requisitos son:
- Documento escolar original.
- Actas de nacimiento (primigenia y actual).
- Identificación oficial con el nombre actual.
- CURP anterior y actual.
- Resolución judicial, en su caso.
- Hoja de ayuda para pago de derechos (proporcionada en ventanilla).
El trámite es presencial. Se realiza en las oficinas de la SEP ubicadas en Donceles No. 100, Col. Centro, Alcaldía Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06020, Ciudad de México, en un horario de lunes a viernes, de 9:00 a 14:00 horas (excepto días inhábiles).
